Dissertation & Thesis
I love music, especially classical music, new age and j-pop.
I have been enjoying several great headphones. Currently I am using AKG K701 and AKG K240s. I also used Creative Aurvana 3 In-Ear, AKG K271s, AKG K512, AKG K314p, AKG K14p, AKG K309, and Sennheiser MX580 in the past.
I love airplanes, but I can only fly them in Microsoft Flight Simulator :p (BTW, my favorite airliner is MD-11).
I love to spend my weekends in national parks, state parks, and other landscapes, and I enjoy landscape photography and astrophotography.
I write with fountain pens. I currently hold a small collection of fountain pens: a Pelikan Souveran M800, a Pelikan Classic M200 "Smoky Quartz", three Lamy 2000, a Pilot Custom Heritage 91, a Pilot Metropolitan (a.k.a. Pilot 88g), a Sailor Pro Gear 21K, and a TWSBI diamond 580.
Q & A
Q: How's Ithaca?
Q: Where are you now?
A: I am currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Q: Other than computer systems...
A: I was once interested in theoretical computer science when I was in my undergrad school, but later realized that I am more interested in building things (and probably, also breaking things). I started working on computer systems in the final year of my undergrad, and have been enjoying in this area since then.
Q: Any sports?
A: I'm pretty bad at almost all sports... BTW, does Starcraft (BroodWar) count?
Q: Do you like Austin?
A: Yes! I love Austin very much!
Q: How's Germany?
A: Bier! Bier! Bier! Wurst! Wurst! Wurst! (Oh, they can have freezing temperature in late May.)
Q: How's Switzerland?
A: Great place, but soooo expensive. T_T
A: Very beautiful landscape but long winters.
